Just like humans, our dogs thrive when they have familiar routines, balanced and enriching days, and friends that they see regularly.
At Happy Tails, we utilize a rotation of engaging open play, stimulating exercise, cozy calming stations, enrichment activities, optional training walks, and healthy snacks to ensure long lives and better behavior.
Our ‘Pack Leaders’ closely monitor each pup throughout the day to determine which activities are best suited for them at any given time. What one pup may find enriching and calming, may not be what another finds enriching and calming.
Safe group socialization starts with a mandatory 30-minute meet & greet, where we learn about your pup, while you tour our facility. This ensures they will be happy and fulfilled in our care and paired with like-minded pals.
Once admitted to daycare: please schedule your pup for daycare at least once every two weeks – this allows them to be familiar with our routines, their friends, and the structure of you dropping them off and picking them up at the end of the day. Please drop off your dog for daycare no later than 11am – It is natural for dog’s to form packs as they play, therefore a dog entering the pack very late in the day can be a cause of anxiety or stress for everyone.
Your best friend’s happiness and well-being is our #1 priority!
To ensure a happy and safe environment for all we have the following guidelines for doggy daycare:
- Vaccines – All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella inoculations.
- Flea/Tick Treatment – All dogs must be on a flea and tick preventative.
- Spay/Neuter – All dogs over the age of 12 months must be spayed or neutered.
- Temperament testing – All dogs must complete an initial Meet & Greet evaluation to be considered a candidate for dog daycare.
Refusal of admittance – We reserve the right to prohibit admittance of any dog for any reason (missing proof of vaccinations, expired vaccinations, displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, aggressive or otherwise dangerous behavior, personality not suitable for daycare, etc).
